The SECO 17016404 is a single-end square end mill machined from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN for extended tool life in abrasive and interrupted-cut applications. It carries a 0.2188-inch (7/32 inch) cutting diameter with a 0.6250-inch (5/8 inch) length of cut and mounts on a 0.3750-inch (3/8 inch) shank. Overall length is 2.4375 inches (2-7/16 inch). The four-flute, 30-degree spiral geometry produces a good balance of chip evacuation and surface finish. This tool is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole, and features right-hand cut with right-hand flute orientation.
